Castrol Viscogen™ KL 23 is a thermally stable high-temperature chain lubricant designed for operation in severe environments. Products in the Viscogen KL range provide extraordinary oxidation resistance, high load carrying ability and excellent rust protection. As such, they are a vital alternative for applications where the use of mineral oils or conventional synthetic oils would result in excessive wear, carbonisation and residue formation.
Castrol Viscogen KL 23 forms an exceptionally adherent, transparent and odourless lubricating film thanks to a synthetic base fluid and an additive system free of solids, metals or silicone. With a low evaporation rate, it allows for reduced lubricant consumption and reapplication requirements even with excellent penetration and reliable wear protection. The lubricant is suitable for a variety of chain types, including roller chains, pin chains, ladder chains, insertion chains and flat-link hoisting chains.
