Castrol’s proprietary Fluid TITANIUM additive system is designed to increase film strength under pressure to reduce friction between metal surfaces in the engine. By tackling power-robbing friction, this engine oil delivers greater performance and fuel efficiency, and helps to maintain engine performance and response even under stress. The low viscosity means the engine uses less energy when tackling internal friction and delivers greater efficiency, which can be especially important in stop-start city use and for hybrid/petrol engines.

The patented Fluid TITANIUM transforms to provide the high-performance levels expected in modern vehicles and tough driving conditions, with high thermal and oxidation stability. Castrol EDGE 0W-20 V engine oil is optimised for modern compact, high-efficiency engines, which are designed for higher output and tighter tolerances that place greater demands on the lubricant. The 0W-20 V grade offers excellent response and prevents wear that can happen with other engine oils before they warm up.

This grade meets the specification ACEA C5 and is approved for use in Volvo engines requiring specification VCC RBS0‑2AE.
